About the transformative period of leaving home and navigating the complexities of finding your own place. Set in the street where I’ve lived independently for the first time, the project captures the emotional duality of this new chapter: the excitement intertwined with the uncertainty of going through the process of separation, belonging and redefining identity.
Through photography, I document the introspective moments of this phase - having housemates of the same age, the intimacy of an unfamiliar room becoming home, and the subtle marks of my presence. I’ve used an intuitive approach to evoke the fragility and resilience of this formative experience of leaving, settling and becoming.
