Slow adventure / 2020
During the early months of the Covid-19 pandemic, going on outdoor walks became a bigger part of my daily life. I discovered a world that had always been present but rarely fully acknowledged - a world of rhythms and cycles, both fragile and enduring. The virus became a reminder of our place within the natural world. We often position ourselves above or outside of nature, hesitating to accept that life and death are deeply intertwined. Yet, this period of forced stillness revealed our inseparability from the ecosystems we inhabit.
‘Slow adventure’ is a visual meditation on this idea. Through contemplative imagery, I reflect on our place in the larger web of life, challenging the illusion of separation. It’s about fragility, humility, and the inevitability of change.
